The Hamilton Co. has purchased two commercial buildings in Boston - 1117 Commonwealth Ave. in Allston and 106 Cambridge St. in Government Center.
With the purchase of 1117 Commonwealth Ave. for $950,000, Boston-based Hamilton Co. now controls the entire commercial block at Allston's Packard Corner, containing 65,000 square feet of commercial space. The building at 1117 Commonwealth Ave. is currently leased by furniture company Bostonwood.
The property at 106 Cambridge St., a 1,500-square-foot building in Government Center, was acquired for $2.15 million and contains three fast-food tenants.
Since 2009, The Hamilton Co. has surpassed $400 million in residential and commercial acquisitions and has more than $1.5 billion in total assets.
"We feel that the market for commercial and residential property remains fundamentally very strong," Carl Valeri, president of The Hamilton Co., said in a statement. "Nevertheless, more buyers than sellers have driven prices higher than investor expectations, giving some pause to the long-term investor."
